Eric is enrolled in the Master of Science in Data Science for Public Policy (MS-DSPP), a joint degree offered by Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and Graduate Analytics program. As a Business for Impact student leader, Eric works on the Rural Opportunity Initiative, which attempts to leverage tax incentives provided by Opportunity Zone (OZ) legislation to better promote economic development in rural areas. Eric has always been interested in economic development and America’s growing spatial inequality. Before coming to Georgetown, Eric worked on several economic research projects related to these topics making the Rural Opportunity Initiative a natural fit for his interests and expertise. After graduation, Eric hopes to work for a think tank or government agency doing research and policy evaluation in the fields of urban and regional policy, labor policy, and economic development.
